Peeling Silver Paint

by Mark Jeffs

Traditional Darkroom Hand Printed on Fibre-based Paper

As clouds rolled in on Zion National Park, we scanned the maps and went off to the North West in a detour that eventually took us into Nevada. Milford looked like a good bet for some freight train photos, and certainly we were excited when we came into the town in strong sunshine and saw level crossings and sidings. As is often the case, however, it’s an unexpected subject that takes over. This rail-side corrugated iron shed, painted with sliver paint, drew me in like a magnet.
